Silver Knight Alumni

The Silver Knight Awards (www.SilverKnightAlumni.com) are given annually to top-achieving high school students from Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Instituted in 1959 by the Miami Herald, the purpose of this Awards program is “to recognize outstanding students who have not only maintained good grades but have also unselfishly applied their special knowledge and talents to contribute significant service to their schools and communities.” The goal of the Silver Knight Alumni network website is to give this now large and growing network of past recipients a place to gather and form a community. In addition to a custom design, calendar / events page and catalog of recipients, the site has a number of features only available to award recipients. Once logged in, recipients can message each other, as well as post to a job board.

The Silver Knight Alumni Legacy Network is a forum created to engage past, present and future Silver Knight honorees, the best and brightest of Miami’s outstanding high school seniors, to continue their pursuit of excellence; to enhance our community through civic engagement; to work together to contribute through community service and to inspire future award winners.
